The kindest wolves in the pack are generally Caretakers. They act as medics for the sick, injured and weak. They have knowledge of herblore and often double as pupsitters when the season is right. They do not go out on hunts. These wolves ensure the welfare of our members and guests before and after hunts. They tend the wounded. This wolf alone may assert authority in health matters over any wolf in the pack. While they may assert authority over council members as well as ranked and unranked subordinates, they are expected to use caution in their words when speaking to those of higher rank than themselves. They bring food to the mother-wolves who are still denned with their pups, as well as any injured or sick wolf.
